Design Details
A soft sage-green tissue kurta with multicoloured floral embroidery worked along the hem and sleeve cuffs, outlined in contrast mauve-brown piping and finished with a scalloped edge. Machine embroidery detailing runs across the bottom panel. The contrast mauve-brown printed tissue dupatta carries a scalloped embroidered edge, and green trousers complete the set. Tissue's fine metallic sheen gives the muted green-and-brown palette an unexpected richness, making this a distinctive festive option.

My Story
Tissue is a weaver’s sleight of hand - a fabric with a fine metallic thread carried through the weft so the whole cloth catches light rather than just the border. It grew out of the zari traditions of Chanderi and Banaras, where flattened gold and silver wire was wound onto a silk core and woven in, and it was worn in Mughal courts precisely because it read as luminous rather than loud. The modern version keeps the effect and loses the weight, which is why tissue can look far richer than its simple silhouette suggests.
Wash and Care
Dry clean only for the first wash. After that, hand wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent, never wring the fabric, and dry flat in the shade. Press on a low heat with a cloth between the iron and any zari or embroidery.
